Our Commitment to Privacy

HoustonBack on Track, an initiative of the Greater Houston Partnership, and the Greater Houston Partnership respect your privacy and are committed to complying with this Houston Back on Track privacy policy(“Privacy Policy”), which describes what information we collect about you, including how we collect it, how we use it, with whom we may share it and what choices you have regarding our use of your information.
To better protect your privacy, we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. This notice applies to the Houston Back on Track website at www.HoustonBackonTrack.org and any current or future associated mobile application, and any other online property under our control that links to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the“Website”).
Houston Back on Track collects and stores certain information from or about you (“Personal Information”). Personal Information is information that uniquely identifies, or can be used to identify, contact or locate the person to whom such information pertains (e.g., your name, address, e-mail address or phone number). We may make changes to this policy at any time and without notice. This policy should be construed to conform to all local and federal regulations. What Information Do We Collect?
Information You Provide Us: To manage and provide the Website, we and/or our service providers collect information, including Personal Information, about you from a variety of sources, including information that you provide directly to us including your name, demographic information (including yourself-reported ethnic and gender information), photographs and video, career details, e-mail, phone number, and address. This information may be collected when you submit an online form, contact us, provide a resume, apply for a job, sign-up for an account and create a profile, and information that we automatically collect about you when you access and use the Website.
Information Collected Automatically: We collect information automatically from you when you visit and use the Website. Such information includes the following:
Usage information. We collect information about how you interact with the Website to operate and improve the Website. This includes information such as the dates and times that you visit the Website, the page you view, referring / exit URLs, and your browser type. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google, in order to better understand your use of the Website and how we can improve it. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit a website, what pages you visit when you do so, and what other websites you used prior to coming to such website. GoogleAnalytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit a website, rather than your name or other directly identifying information. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with your Personal Information. In addition, Houston Back uses Google AdWords, an online advertising services provided by Google, to serve ads on our behalf across the Internet and sometimes on this Website. Google uses yourInternet searches, cookies and similar identifiers (e.g., pixel tags) to collect information about your visits to the Website and your interaction with our Services to generate targeted advertisements to you on other websites that you visit across the Internet. Opting out will not affect your use of the Website. How Do We Use the Information We Collect?
Houston Back on Track, the GreaterHouston Partnership, and our third party service providers (such as hosting, email marketing, and payment processing providers) collect and use the PersonalInformation that we collect to operate the Website, including to provide certain services and improve the user experience, address Website integrity or security issues, and conduct research and analysis to maintain, protect, develop, and improve the Website, and, additionally, use the information submitted by users as described below or elsewhere in this Privacy Policy.
Because Houston Back on Track is focused on helping residents in the Houston region find pathways back to good jobs, we may use your Personal Information to better connect you with community-based partners, employers, and jobs. These community partners may engage with you to understand your interests, provide wraparound and supportive services, and provide career coaching separately from this Website. In addition, we may send you emails or in-app messages to receive information about job opportunities through the Website. In addition, Houston Back on Track may use your Personal Information – such as your email address, telephone number, and other contact information – to respond to your inquiries and to communicate with you as needed or permitted to fulfill our business and mission. We may also connect with you to highlight opportunities, promote training, conduct surveys, etc.
We retain the Personal Information that we collect from you where we have an ongoing legitimate business need todo so (for example, to provide you with the services you requested or to comply with an applicable legal requirement). Specifically, we do not share information about you with other people or organizations without your consent, except in the following circumstances:
· To facilitate providing the products, goods or services that you have requested;
· To investigate, prevent or take action regarding potentially illegal activities, or violations of our Terms of Service;

Our Commitment to Children’s Privacy
You may not use the Website if you are under the age of 13. If we discover that we have collected PersonalInformation from someone under the age of 13, then we will immediately delete and erase that information.

Social Media Platforms and Websites
Any Submission that you submit to any of our pages contained on a social media platform or website by e-mail, posting, messaging, uploading, downloading, or otherwise is done at your own risk and without any expectation of privacy. We cannot control the actions of other users of a social media platform, and we are therefore not responsible for any Submissions contained on a social media platform or website.
Limitation of Liability
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL HOUSTON BACK ON TRACK AND THE GREATER HOUSTON PARTNERSHIP BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT OR INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES THAT MAY ARISE FROM A CLAIM OF BREACH OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law or $100, whichever is less.
